Sherman Chenier is the Founder and Executive Director of Drive Houston Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving transportation access and mobility opportunities for individuals and families across the Houston area. With nearly two decades of experience in the automotive industry, Sherman has worked in vehicle sales, customer service, and automotive operations, giving him a deep understanding of the real-life barriers people face when it comes to reliable transportation. Drive Houston was built from his belief that access to transportation is directly connected to opportunity—whether it’s getting to work, attending medical appointments, or achieving long-term financial stability. Under his leadership, the organization focuses on practical, community-driven solutions including vehicle assistance programs, repair support partnerships, and mobility access initiatives. Sherman’s mission is to bridge the gap between transportation need and opportunity by building partnerships with local businesses, donors, and service providers to create lasting impact in the Houston community.
